In the last few years, the legal community has been coming around to the discussion of possibility of introducing suits in the defense of substantial scope of persons (group action suits, collective suits, representative suits, etc.) in Ukraine, since such suits are really needed in frequent cases of rights violation. At the same time, the current procedural legislation has undergone changes. However, there is a number of court decisions adopted on suits in the defense of large scope of persons that cannot be overlooked in the course of analysis of this category of cases.
