Olga Shapovalova has over 40 years of experience in law, including as a judge in district courts, courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court of Ukraine (Judicial Chamber on Criminal Cases), as well as over 7 years as an advisor with the National School of Judges of Ukraine. In addition, she has a stellar track record as Ukraine’s national legal expert with the Council of Europe and the OECD.

In-depth and thought-out solutions are a distinguishing feature of Olga’s approach to constructing a defense strategy. She has demonstrated her skill in a number of high-profile corruption cases involving high-ranking government officials, former ministers, as well as owners and top management of international and national corporations.

Olga Shapovalova is also known for her research work, largely in the area of criminal law and procedure. As of this time, she has authored over 25 works, including one monograph, 5 training manuals, scientific papers, and research articles (including as a member of the working group developing the course on drafting judicial rulings). She was also the editor-in-chief of the Judicial Practice research journal.
