The joint legal team of Equity and Benchers law firms is defending the Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov in a high-profile case of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, opened by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.

 

The city head and other suspects in the case are accused of illegal transfer of municipally owned lots to construction projects, legalizing illegal incomes, and causing millions in damages to the territorial community.

The attorneys have successfully proven the demands to detain their client are baseless, and reduced the bail amount from UAH 120 million to approximately UAH 30 million.

The defense team included the Benchers Law Firm partner Oleksander Mykytenko and the Equity Law Firm partner Oleksander Lysak.
